OhMyZsh! Making ZSH efficent and look good !!

from OnMyZsh

Oh My Zsh is a delightful, open source, community-driven framework for managing your Zsh configuration. It comes bundled with thousands of helpful functions, helpers, plugins, themes, and a few things that make you shout…
“Oh My ZSH!”

I’m writing this as something between notes for me for setting up new machines and to share the info for someone using the same setup. That setup? typically one of these 3:

  1. Ubuntu 20.04
  2. Raspian (headless)
  3. ChromeOS flex

If you have another system or wish to see a lot more detail check out the OhMyZsh Zsh installation guide

Installation is made easy with a tidy script on the Github repo. Worth having a look at before running to make yourself familir with what it is changing on your system (and no one has compromised it) more install instructions

# change the shell to zsh
chsh -s $(which zsh)

Reopen your terminal and you should see a fancy looking ZSH!

Hello hexo, hello world and hello cloudflare as well!

So I’ve got bits and bobs over Google Docs, Sheets, Photos, One Note and more… In an ideal world I’d have the Google Docs I use to track the work I do on projects in the house, garden and elsewhere. Would link in Google Photos (our photo storage of choice) and be able to keep important info, events as well as sharing those bits that are worth it.

My intention is share useful tidbits about geekery, particularlly around Linux, command line, home networks and cloud tech. I’m focused on the automation and security of these technologies. Might share some non-geek aspects; like living in France, learning French, other garden and activity projects… on vera :)
